A Broadway Evening with Sierra Boggess 

Conducted by Nolan Livesay

Sierra Boggess is an Olivier nominated actress regarded as one of Broadway’s most beloved leading ladies. She is know world wide for reinventing the coveted role of Christine Daae in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera which she played in the Broadway, West End, and the televised 25th Anniversary concert productions of the iconic musical. Ms. Boggess made her Broadway debut as Ariel in Disney’s The Little Mermaid, receiving the Boradway.com Audience Award for Favorite Female Breakthrough Performance. She performs worldwide and is currently portraying Lily Craven in the Los Angeles production of The Secret Garden.

Grand Finals of the Redlands Bowl Concerto Competition

Featuring Orchestra Santa Monica 

Conducted by Roger Kalia 

Experience five dazzling performances from extraordinarily talented concerto competition finalists as they compete for the prestigious competition’s top prize. The finalists are chosen through a rigorous worldwide selection process prior to the concert, and the winners announced at the evening’s conclusion.

Flutist Sara Andon is an international soloist and recording artist known for her ravishing tone and deeply engaging musical interpretations.

She has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, LA Opera, Los Angeles Ballet Company, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, New West Symphony, Pasadena Symphony, San Diego Symphony, Orqestra Sinfonico de Tenerife, Beethoven Academy Orchestra, and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, as well as orchestras for Broadway shows Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” “Les Misérables,” “Wicked,” and “Phantom of the Opera.”

Sail On plays all the Beach Boys’ classic hits, plus some treasures from the band’s brilliant extended catalog, recreating the soundtrack to an Endless Summer completely live and in rich detail.

Air Force Band of the Golden West Commander’s Jazz Ensemble

The Redlands Bowl welcomes the return of the Air Force Band of the Golden West’s Commanders Jazz Ensemble for an evening of patriotic favorites.

Based at Travis Air Force Base, the ensemble is comprised of 18 talented musicians and continually tours the western United States. As the only active-duty Air Force band west of the Rockies, the Band of the Golden West is dedicated to using the power of music to inspire our Air Force members and the great nation they serve, producing innovative musical programs and communicating Air Force excellence.

Mariachi Divas de Cindy Shea 

A charismatic all-female two-time Grammy Award winning ensemble which continues to push and expand the scope of mariachi music. Mariachi Divas are the official mariachi of Disneyland Resort where they entertain audiences of all ages and backgrounds year-round and perform for the “A Musical Celebration of Coco” show. Their dynamic, award-winning music can also be found in many music videos and movie soundtracks.

The Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley Band

Take a 15-time IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association) Dobro Player of the Year and a Tennessee-born guitar prodigy who made his Grand Ole Opry debut at the age of 11, and you have Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley, a powerhouse acoustic duo that has electrified the acoustic music scene. Known for their white-hot picking, stone country vocals with soul and world class live musicianship, Ickes and Hensley meld together blues, bluegrass, country, rock and other string band music of all kinds to form a signature blend of music that defies restrictions of genre.

Jazzy Ash and the Leaping Lizards

Celebrating the great traditions of New Orleans Jazz, the charismatic Jazzy Ash and the Leaping Lizards have performed at Lincoln Center and Symphony Space in New York, the Getty Center, Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts, and Ann Arbor Summer Festival. Their music has been featured by the Los Angeles Times and National Public Radio.

The Spinners

Timeless in a way few other acts are, The Spinners are one of the most iconic and enduring groups in R&B history. Diego Figueiredo & Chuchito Valdés: Brazil Meets Cuba

Two of the world’s most exciting Latin Jazz artists promise an epic evening at the Redlands Bowl.

Grammy nominated guitarist Diego Figueiredo is a virtuoso with an infectious, joyful feeling that will leave you amazed and happy. Having received awards twice at the “MONTREUX JAZZ FESTIVAL” as one of the greatest guitarists in the world, Diego Figueiredo’s performance unites technique and emotion in a fusion of Brazilian music and jazz.

Chuchito Valdés, following in the footsteps of his famed father Chucho Valdés and grandfather Bebo Valdés, continues the legacy of great piano players form Cuba. With influences of Caribbean rhythms and jazz, Chuchito creates an exciting and energetic blend of spicy music that drives audiences wild. This piano master captivates with his sensitivity and drives excitement with his world renowned Cuban band, Irakere.

Hello, Dolly!

Hello, Dolly! is a ten-time Tony Award winning 1964 musical with music and lyrics by Jerry Herman. The 1969 movie adaptation directed by Gene Kelly and starring Barbra Streisand went on to be nominated for seven Academy Awards, winning three. The role of Dolly will be played by Debbie Prutsman. 

Dolly Gallagher Levi is a widow, a matchmaker, and a professional meddler. Everything changes when she decides that the next match she needs to make is someone for herself. Set in New York City at the turn of the century, Hello,  Dolly! is boisterous and charming from start to finish. Hello, Dolly! features such memorable songs as “Before the Parade Passes By,” “It Only Takes a Moment” and the titular number “Hello, Dolly!”.

Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band 

Having amassed 21 Grammy nominations, four Grammy wins, and three Emmy wins, Gordon Goodwin is the most decorated big band leader in the 21st century. Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band is an internationally known ensemble with a reputation as one of the most exciting large ensembles in jazz.

The Big Phat Band has released eight critically acclaimed records, including Life in the Bubble, which garnered four Grammy Nominations, and won the Grammy for Best Large Ensemble Album. Their most recent release is a five song EP called The Reset, which is rapidly securing its status as both a critical and popular hit.

The StepCrew

The StepCrew brings an epic fusion of three styles of exhilarating celtic dance- Irish, Tap, and Ottawa Valley. The 11-member company is led by internationally acclaimed dancers Cara Butler and brothers Jon and Nathan Pilatzke and includes five virtuoso dancers, three world-class fiddlers, and a vocalist.

Soloist Cara Butler is best known as The Chieftains’ top Irish dancer for the last two decades, while Jon and Nathan Pilatzke are Canada’s leading and most exciting Ottawa Valley stepdancers. Accompanied by virtuosic musicians from the Celtic, traditional and rock genres, The StepCrew achieves the ultimate balance of respecting traditional forms of dance and creating exciting modern fusions never seen or heard before!

The Ultimate Eagles Experience is a stunningly accurate tribute to the music of the Eagles. Using no backing tracks or harmonizers, 7 Bridges faithfully re-creates the experience of an Eagles concert from the band’s most prolific periods.

Called by Rolling Stone Magazine “The Greatest Eagles Tribute Band on Earth!” The group has combined fierce musicianship, vocal precision, and stage presence to garner its international acclaim.

H.M.S. Pinafore in One Act and Other Gilbert & Sullivan Favorites!

A sextet of New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players (NYGASP) stars perform HMS Pinafore in one act, with all the famous numbers performed by characters dressed to the nines in nautical and Victorian splendor. Now in its forty-eighth year of operation, NYGASP is America’s preeminent professional Gilbert & Sullivan repertory ensemble. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Albert Bergeret, who has been hailed as “the leading custodian of the G&S classics” by New York Magazine, NYGASP has created its own special niche in the cultural mosaic of New York City and the nation.

If you can’t remember a time when Frankie Avalon wasn’t a part of your life, you aren’t alone. The legendary performer’s career spans three generations of music, television and motion pictures, which he feels is due primarily to the loyalty and trust of his audience.

Frankie’s years as a “Teenage Idol” have been succeeded by maturity and professionalism. He is currently one of the busiest nightclub performers in the country, playing the nations finest supper clubs and headlining top Las Vegas Hotel Main rooms. His motion picture career has already spanned some thirty films, and counting!

The Bowl’s regular season draws to a close featuring acclaimed pianist Kristhyan Benitez performing Grieg’s beloved Piano Concerto, Op.16 followed by the Redlands Symphony’s performance of The Harry Potter Symphonic Suite by John Williams.

Grammy winning pianist Kristhyan Benitez  has appeared at some of the world’s most prestigious stages such as Philarmonie Hall (Berlin), Davies Symphony Hall (San Francisco), Lincoln Center (New York), Walt Disney Concert Hall (Los Angeles), Ehrbar Saal (Vienna), Salle Cortot (Paris), National Center for the Performing Arts (Beijing), Palacio de Bellas Artes (Mexico City), Amadeo Roldan Theater (Havana), Teresa Carreño Cultural Complex and Simon Bolivar Hall (Caracas), with performances throughout Asia, Europe, South America and the United States. Benitez has performed under the baton of Claudio Abbado, Gustavo Dudamel, Alondra de la Parra, Carlos Riazuelo, Felipe Izcaray, Christian Vasquez, Lina Gonzalez-Granados, Giancarlo Guerrero, Piero Gamba, Patrick Lange, James Orent, Benjamin Zander, Eduardo Marturet, among others.

A Grand Centennial Spectacular! 

Redlands Bowl Performing Arts is thrilled to present a Grand Centennial Celebration to commemorate this historic year for the Bowl. This “festival within a festival” will feature a fun evening of beautiful music at the Bowl created by Worldwide Creative Director for Walt Disney Live Entertainment and University of Redlands alum Marilyn Magness. More details about this exciting event will be revealed in the summer!
