An opening night spectacular celebrating all things Broadway! The Redlands Bowl welcomes acclaimed vocalist Nicole Henry to perform selections from Les Miserables, West Side Story, Dreamgirls, The Wiz, and many others!
Nicole Henry possesses a potent combination of dynamic vocal abilities, impeccable phrasing, and powerful emotional resonance. Her passionate, soulful voice and heart-felt charisma has earned her a Soul Train Award for “Best Traditional Jazz Performance,” and three Top-10 U.S. Billboard jazz albums. Heralded by The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Essence and others, Ms. Henry has captivated audiences worldwide. Most recently, she sang the National Anthem at the 2018 Orange Bowl.
Maestro Fetta will also conduct Alexander Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances, as featured in the musical Kismet, and a John Williams Fiddler on the Roof medley. A 96th season opener not to be missed!
