Every year the Redlands Bowl holds its annual Young Artists Auditions to provide opportunities for emerging professional musicians.  The “Young Artists Auditions” were founded in 1952 by Carolyn S. Pike. The Associates of the Redlands Bowl added their support to their founder’s dream by creating the Caroline S. Pike Scholarships for winners of the Young Artists’ Auditions each year since 1952. The winners in the junior category receive $500 scholarships and the senior category winners receive $1,000 scholarships thanks to the fundraising effort of the Associates of the Redlands Bowl. The competition is open to classical vocalists and instrumentalists. The winners of the competition perform on the second concert of the Redlands Bowl Summer Music Festival season.
